Ha ha, here it is, finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gsxr750 It took a while but I finally put a picture of my bike up. Well, actually it's not my bike, but this is the closest picture I could find on the internet. As soon as I take a good pic. of mine I'll put that one up here as well. That will show you the difference between this one and mine. I think this is an '87 and mine's an '88. It has the duo-seat instead of the monocock and the colors are a little bit different. Also mine is a japanese import machine. Somehow they don't alow speedometers to go over 180 km/h over there,  so afterI pass that I don't know how fast I'm going anymore :-)

It's a really cool bike, which I bought back in june of '96 at "De Valkenier" in Barneveld. And the maintenance on it has been done there every time since then, except for a couple of new tires that I needed (they were cheaper somewhere else) and a new battery that I recently bought.

Barneveld's only half an hours drive from Harderwijk. It's not on the map but it's a nice drive along winding roads through Voorthuizen, Putten and Ermelo, so that was a good start.

Since I bought the bike I drove some 10.000 miles with it.  Among those was a holiday trip to the former Yugoslav Republic in '97. Got the chance to really try it. My luggage was in one of the cars ( an Opel Vectra) that were also with us so the driving was excellent. Think we did like 200km/h on the German, Austrian and Italian highways. They were cool wide roads with long smooth curves, excellent for the speed we were travelling at.

B.t.w. I almost crashed into the back of a car in front of me when we had to stop at an intersection in Italy. He started to pull up again and I just followed him, looking to the right to see if any cars were coming. Apparently there were, 'cause when I looked in front of me the car had stopped and I was almost in his trunk :-)  OOOPPPPPSSSS!!!!!

The rest of the trip was pretty smooth, except for the rain in the south of Germany on the way over to Yugoslavia. It was like riding through a river. Sometimes the bike would be in so much water it would be running on only 3 cillinders. Too bad I was too late putting on my rain outfit. I was wet to the bone.

Too bad this bike was stolen on august 27th 1999.

fireblade

Luckily I bought a new bike saturday january 6th of 2001. It's a Honda CBR 900 RR Fireblade. Beautiful machine and no scratch on it even though it's a second hand. I took it for a testride and bought immediately after that. I'm going to pick it up at the dealers coming saturday januaru 13th. Just hope the weather's ok LOL. For now, here's the pic of the actual machine.
